As you have likely heard, there are a number of different features that will be available with the Galaxy s5 when it comes out. But many people don’t know how to fully utilize the features of the Galaxy s5. Here is a look at the features of this great phone and how you can use them.

The Galaxy s5 has a 16MP in the front and a 2MP camera in the back (so you can take the best selfies ever). It has a number of great features as well, including video stabilizing, image modification, focus options, a great looking flash and more. If you like cameras and take a lot of pictures and video with your camera, go for the Galaxy s5 – it may not be as crazy as some of its competitors, but it is more than enough for the casual picture taker.

Make sure that you take full advantage of the variety of camera features that you have by downloading your favorite social media apps so that you can share all of your favorite videos and pictures. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, and Vine should all be included as part of your repertoire of apps, because why should you have a nice camera if you aren’t using it regularly?

Fingerprint Scanner

Alright, so we are all about new technologies that allow us to get the security that we desire. If we lose our phones, other people can’t get into it. Even though the iPhone was a little ahead of the curve on this one, the Galaxy has caught up and almost gone past it with the technology that it’s implemented. There are a lot of great things about the fingerprint scanner, but in general, make sure that you use it. That way, you have that extra layer of protection and you can feel secure if you set your phone down or accidentally drop it somewhere. You can also use it in order to make online payments via Paypal and other websites that need authentication so that you can keep all of your personal information safe and encrypted while you’re accessing it on your mobile device.

Better Battery

One great feature of the Galaxy  s5 is that it has a better battery life than a lot of its competitors. Currently, it has a battery power of 2800mAH – that means it can hold up for hours and hours (they estimate 20 to 25), no matter what you’re doing with your phone. It also has a great feature that we haven’t seen in other phones before, which is an “ultra low” mode; this mode allows you to turn off accessibility to almost everything on your phone (limiting apps, turning off color, etc) and will let your phone last 24 hours on the last 10% of your battery – that’s great if you know you’re going to be away for awhile. So make sure that you use this to its limits and keep the battery at its highest capacity.

Heart Rate Scanner

If you’re into fitness, the next feature is going to be perfect for you. Samsung has gotten innovative once again and installed a heart rate monitor. As you would expect, that means that you’re going to be able to test your heart rate, which is great when you’re trying to keep up with a cardio routine where you have to get your heart rate to a certain level. It’s not quite clear how it’s going to be implemented yet, but it’s been determined that the heart rate monitor is located underneath the camera on the front of the device; it’s likely that you will just have to put your finger over the area and it will test out your pulse. So, if you’re into fitness or you want to start getting into it, the Galaxy s5 app developers will likely start using that little heart rate monitor as part of their fitness apps, which could be beneficial for everyone that is involved.

As with most people who have smartphones, you’re probably wondering exactly how much memory it comes with. Of course, you may be disappointed when you find out that there are only 16GB and 32GB options available for the Galaxy s5, unlike its s4 counterpart, which had a 64GB option. Here’s the thing, however; there is a MicroSD card option like you find in every other smartphone. But this MicroSD slot can expand up to 128GB more storage, giving you a maximum capacity of up to 160GB (in the 32 GB model). That’s more than any other smartphone on the market today. What are you going to do with that much memory? If you watch a lot of videos or listen to a lot of music on the go, then you may have found the perfect phone for your situation.

Software Features

As you would likely expect, you will have the latest version of Android (KitKat/4.4 as of this writing) when you purchase it. It looks a lot like the previous generation, and it’s just as easier to use as it was. There are a number of different software options, including parental controls and a mode that keeps things private so that no one can get into your personal information while you’re using your phone. With all of the space that you can have, you will find that there are a number of different types of software and apps that you can try out for yourself. So don’t hesitate; with all of that space, you have plenty of room to try the apps that you want to try and you can adapt everything for your needs and the needs of your family.

Are you ready for the new Galaxy s5? Are you going to get one as soon as they come out, or are you going to wait and see what other people say about it first? No matter which way you go about it, you’re going to be happy with the results of your Galaxy s5 if you take a look at the features and utilize them for yourself in the best ways possible.
